Job summary

Polk County (WI) is seeking a part-time afternoon/evening shift nurse. Competitive starting wages include LPN at $29/hr plus $1/hr shift differential (to $30) and RN at $40/hr plus $1/hr shift differential (to $41). Longer-term care experience may raise starting pay.

Additional hours may be available to pick up. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, developing care plans, administering treatments, and coordinating Medicare certifications.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
• Considerable knowledge of the supervision and administration of a nursing unit.
• Considerable knowledge of restorative nursing.
• Considerable knowledge of psychiatric and/or geriatric nursing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance.
• Develop and implement resident care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Coordinate Medicare certifications and pre-admission screening.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Make daily rounds and review resident status with physicians.
