Job summary

Columbia-Greene Community College seeks a part-time Lab Assistant for the Natural Science Division to organize, maintain, and equip laboratories and assist faculty during scheduled lab sessions. The role reports to the Senior Associate for Natural Science Laboratories for daily operations and to the Chairperson of the Natural and Social Sciences for additional duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Must have valid New York drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down all assigned labs.
• Assist faculty in lab as needed during labs.
• Help set up lab exams and practicals with faculty.
• Cover labs during emergencies/crises when needed.
• Keep lab equipment clean and supplies organized.
• Maintain inventory of evening supplies and equipment.
• Maintain technical lab equipment.
• Keep records of students and practice times.
• Transport students to field sites in a van.
