Job summary

Oak Park Care Center in Missouri seeks a compassionate Dietary Aide for a part-time shift from 11am to 7pm to support resident meals and nourishment. You will prepare and deliver trays, maintain the tray line, and assist in preparing special diet foods in a respectful, clean setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good communication skills.
• Professional and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Deliver items as requested by units or residents.
• Maintain tray line in a clean, neat, organized manner.
• Prepare special diet foods as necessary.
• Deliver food carts to units and return carts to kitchen.
• Load and oversee dishwashers and log temperatures.
• Wash items by hand (pots, pans, knives).
• Dispose of trash and garbage properly.
• Put clean dishes and utensils away.
• Mop floors as scheduled and necessary.
• Clean walk-in refrigerators and storage areas; log temperatures daily.
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and nourishments.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Maintain good working relationships across departments.
