Job summary

Belgrove Rehab and Nursing Center in Kearny, NJ is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents’ health through nutritious meals. This part-time role involves preparing meal trays, delivering and collecting them, and maintaining a clean dining area to ensure safety and quality service.

You will work 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM, align with dietary guidelines, and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to read and write in English.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dietary role within a nursing home or healthcare setting.
• Strong teamwork and resident-focused mindset.
• Able to work efficiently and maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up resident meal trays according to dietary needs.
• Deliver and collect trays promptly and courteously.
• Break down trays and handle contents with care.
• Maintain cleanliness after meals, including trash disposal and sanitizing areas.
• Assist with food preparation for events and celebrations.
• Deliver snacks and manage food carts to designated areas.
• Follow departmental protocols and health regulations for safety.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents and families.
