Orleans Technical College seeks an instructor to lead the Commercial/Industrial Electricity class under the Academic Affairs Director. You will teach fundamentals, safety practices, NEC 2020 code, and motor/controller/PLC topics, while supervising students during hands‑on tasks and evaluating their progress.

The position is part-time, with classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 10:15 PM. Reminder: pay rate for part-time instructors is $32.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching the basics of electrical trade is preferred.
• Ability to supervise hands-on trades tasks in a classroom setting.
• Familiarity with testing student knowledge on theory and practicals.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in commercial electricity with emphasis on safety, NEC code, motors, controllers and PLCs.
• Supervise students during hands-on trades tasks.
• Evaluate students’ hands-on activities and testing of theory.
• Maintain attendance and grade rosters; prepare curricula materials.
