Orange-Ulster BOCES seeks an instructor to teach adult education students entry-level skills in construction electricity. The course covers safety, electrical theory, calculations, tool use and professional opportunities in the trade.

Emphasis on residential installations with progression to commercial/industrial methods. The position is part-time following the school year calendar, effective immediately, with weekday evening hours 4:00pm–9:00pm, Monday through Thursday.

• Five years of experience in the electrical field.

Job description

Teach adult education students entry-level skills in construction electricity. Courses emphasize job safety, electrical theory, electrical calculations, work ethic, proper tool use and exposure to professional opportunities within the trade. Focus is on residential installations, followed by commercial and industrial installations and includes electrical theory, safety/OSHA job-site regulations, commercial/industrial wiring methods, circuit loading calculations, hand & power tool usage, service entrance installation/calculations, and introduction to electric motors/controllers.

This position is part-time following the school year calendar.

Effective: Immediately

Monday-Thursday, 4:00pm - 9:00pm

Five (5) years of experience in the electrical field.
