Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight quickly and accurately to ensure timely delivery. Shifts start in the evening and overtime is common.

Qualified candidates are at least 18 years old with a high school diploma (or equivalent). The position offers overtime pay, health and 401(k) benefits, and opportunities for advancement in a growing midsize carrier.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Efficient time management.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to read labels quickly and work independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes.
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently.
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed.
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
