Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Maryland is hiring part-time and full-time Medication Technicians for evening and overnight shifts. You will stabilize clients, assist with nursing duties, and coordinate care with medical and clinical teams to support treatment goals.

Responsibilities include managing medications, organizing appointments, and ensuring smooth post-discharge planning. A strong emphasis on teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to substance-use treatment standards is required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
• Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting)
• Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
• Manage, order and res-stock all medical supplies as necessary
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
• Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations
