Job summary

The Association for Individual Development is seeking a Direct Support Professional to implement individualized strategies and document daily client activities. You will help with meals, grooming, and mobility while ensuring dignity and safety across sites.

You will transport clients, attend trainings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Evening, weekend, and overnight shifts are required with a $2/hour night differential where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• CNA or Autism Certificate preferred.
• Experience with developmentally disabled adults preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license required.
• Pass S-TOFHLA literacy test.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized strategies and document services per plan.
• Provide transportation for clients in agency vehicle.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and shift handoffs.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and mutual respect for client rights.
