Job summary

Brentwood Hospital is seeking a dynamic Counselor / Social Worker to join our team, providing assessment and therapy to individuals and families to support improved mental health.

The position requires a Master’s in social work or counseling and licensure as an LPC or LCSW, with Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–8:00 PM hours, and in-person outpatient care at our Monroe, LA branches. This role offers professional growth within UHS's network and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in social work, counseling or related field.
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
• Licensure: LPC or LCSW license required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for in person and virtual appointments.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members.
• Provide group and family process-oriented therapies as well as didactic groups for patients and family members using various treatment modalities.
• Daily progress notes summarizing patient progress toward treatment goals; document contact with family and community agencies.
• Develop and coordinate an individualized discharge plan for the patient with the care team.
