Job summary

La Salle University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach an on-campus undergraduate nursing pediatrics didactic course (NUR 335: Family Nursing: Childhood). The Summer 2024 session runs Tuesdays 6 pm–8 pm from 5/20/24 to 8/8/24.

The instructor will align with the syllabus, develop exams, and provide student feedback, coordinating with the Undergraduate Nursing program chair. MSN and pediatric nursing expertise are required; teaching in higher education is preferred.

Qualifications

MSN required.
Expertise in pediatric nursing.

Responsibilities

Teaches NUR 335: Family Nursing: Childrearing Families to undergraduate students.
Teaches with high level of expertise and follows syllabus directives.
Contributes to syllabus revisions in consultation with faculty and Chair.
Attends orientation programs and meetings with course coordinators.
Creates exams and grades assignments as specified by the course syllabus.
Follows guidelines for course and clinical sections as communicated by coordinators.
Directs students on assignments as specified in syllabi and in consultation with course faculty.
Provides email communications to students and faculty.
Uses University mail and La Salle Portal for course information.
Provides remedial instruction and communicates performance plans to students.
