Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking an Associate Administrative Nurse Manager (AANM) to lead inpatient nursing units in the Wakefield area. The role collaborates with the Administrative Nurse Manager to maintain practice standards and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.

The candidate will direct patient and unit activities, participate in education and clinical research, and support interdisciplinary teams in planning and evaluating care.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience; 2+ years in related area required.
• Effective management skills to organize, direct and evaluate nursing staff.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; adapt well to change.
• Proficient with customer service principles; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Registered Nurse licensed in New York; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of nursing practice per ANA Code and Montefiore policies.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of specialized inpatient nursing units with ANM collaboration.
• Direct and coordinate patient and unit activities to ensure high quality care.
• Assist interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care.
• Participate in educational activities and clinical research studies.
