Job summary

Luxor Healthcare Management seeks an experienced RN/LPN Unit Manager for Medina Meadows in Medina, OH. You will lead the evening shift on a hotel-style skilled nursing unit, guiding nursing staff to deliver high-quality, person-centered care in a warm, home-like setting.

The role requires Ohio licensure, 1–2 years in long-term care with supervisory experience, and strong leadership and documentation skills. Growth opportunities exist within the Luxor network.

Qualifications

• Current, active Ohio nursing license.
• 1–2 years in long-term care with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with care planning, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Commitment to patient-centered care.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations on the day shift for the assigned unit.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff — including LPNs, STNAs, and caregivers — ensuring safe, compassionate care.
• Conduct resident assessments, ensure documentation, and oversee care plan implementation and updates.
• Collaborate with administration (DON, ADON) to ensure regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Maintain infection control, medication management, resident safety, and unit cleanliness.
• Facilitate effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and smooth transitions in care.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to staff for professional development and retention.
