Job summary

Great River Care Center is seeking an experienced Part-time Charge Nurse (LPN or RN) for 1–9 pm shifts, totaling 16–24 hours per week. The role includes supervising direct resident care and ensuring adherence to nursing standards within the facility.

Compensation includes base pay plus after-2pm and weekend differentials, with a $1,250 sign-on bonus. Iowa RN/LPN licensure and CPR certification are required, with CPR renewal preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Licensure/certification in the state of Iowa required.
• CPR Certified.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practice and implement facility policies and procedures.
• Interpret existing policies and procedures to Resident Care Technicians, residents, families and physicians.
• Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Receive report from the nurse you are relieving and record sufficient information to implement follow-up action as necessary.
• Provide report to nurse coming on duty, including sufficient information for follow-up action if necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to the charge nurse or Director of Nursing, if necessary, and initiate corrective action.
• Identify resident problems, emergency situations and respond appropriately within the Quality-of-Life Policies of Healthcare of Iowa.
• Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action.
• Follow, supervise, and evaluate the implementation of the Resident's Rights Program.
• Provide clinical supervision of CNA's giving direct resident care.

Job Details:

Part-time 1-9pm LPN or RN. 16-24 HOURS PER WEEK. Nursing Home Charge Nurse.

Compensation. LPN: $28-$30.50 base pay with an additional $4/hour after 2pm and $5/hour on weekends. RN: $40-42.50 base pay with an additional $4/hour after 2pm and $5/hour on weekends.

Weekends: 8 hours per month
