Job summary

Miami Valley Hospitalist Group in Dayton, OH is seeking Nurse Practitioners for full-time evening shifts. NPs will work with supervising physicians and clinical staff to deliver primary health care and maintain continuity of medical services.

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in NP, be certified NP (ACNP), have Ohio licensure, and current Prescriber Certificate. Five years RN experience, one year NP/ACNP preferred, and EMR experience (EPIC) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree from an accredited NP program.
• Must be a certified NP (ACNP). Current State of Ohio licensure is required and must be maintained.
• Certificate to Prescribe must be current and maintained at all times.
• Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility; 1 year experience as a NP/ACNP preferred; and experience as a critical care nurse is preferred.
• Evidence of malpractice insurance must be provided as part of the application process.
• A thorough understanding of HIPAA law is required and professional discretion must be demonstrated at all times.
• Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues are essential.
• Computer literacy is required and must include Excel, Word and Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records experience is an advantage, preferably EPIC.

• Provide exemplary patient primary health care and continuity of medical services under supervising physician(s).
• Collaborate with center's physicians and clinical staff and be accessible to physicians, staff and supervisors.
• Apply professional medical practice principles to give and evaluate patient care.
