Job summary

Potbelly Corporate in Mount Prospect, IL is seeking a Nighttime Team Member to work after 4pm in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. You will support multiple stations, ensure quality products, and help close the shop with a positive energy and strong teamwork.

The role requires 16+ years old, good communication, and the ability to stand for long periods while handling allergens and cash tasks. Training and certification opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Customer-first mindset in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen; knife skills are a plus.
• Able to manage allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
• Team player and adaptable.
• Able to stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Illinois applicants must become food safety certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
• If 18 or older, use of the automatic slicer to prep food items.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register: handle, balance and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
• Takes delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
