Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Unit Leader in Berkeley Hospital's Nursing Obstetrics unit. This role coordinates patient care on a designated unit, guiding staff and ensuring safety, quality, and positive patient experiences.

The position collaborates with the nursing leadership and healthcare team to optimize unit performance. Qualifications include nursing license with ADN/ Diploma, BSN preferred, and 2+ years of nursing experience with acuity exposure.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact.
• BLS Basic Life Support required or preferred, obtain prior to patient care setting.
• PALS/ACLS/NRP/ TNCC/ENPC or related certifications preferred.
• ADN or Diploma required; BSN preferred for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on a designated unit with the team.
• Guide staff and oversee unit in the absence of the unit leader.
• Ensure environmental safety and infection control standards.
• Communicate with patients and families about plan of care.
• Round on patients to evaluate safety, quality, and experience.
• Mentor staff and serve as clinical resource and preceptor when needed.
