Job summary

Berkeley Medical Center is seeking an Obstetrics/Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care. The role requires applying the nursing process, patient assessment, and education, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Eligible candidates will hold a current RN license (WV or eNLC), be BLS certified, and ideally possess a BSN. Night shift with a 36-hour weekly schedule and opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state where services will be provided or multi-state RN license via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
• BSN degree preferred for advancement and specialty tracks.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for obstetrics patients using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve outcomes.
• Demonstrate safety and continuity of care with handoff tools and documentation.
• Educate patients based on individual learning needs and cultural considerations.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and accurate documentation.
• Apply evidence-based practice to nursing care and participate in patient-centered care.
