Job summary

Tufts Medicine – Lowell General Hospital is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist for 36 hours weekly, Evening/Night shift (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends. This role provides respiratory care across age groups and requires MA license, RRT/CRT, and BLS.

You will operate ventilators, deliver inhaled meds, monitor blood gases, and participate in transport and critical care rounds. The hospital offers competitive pay, benefits from day one, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Licensed by the state of Massachusetts to provide respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). If employed at TMC, must be RRT.
• One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Initiates patients on invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
• Administers inhaled medications per guidelines.
• Administers oxygen using various circuits.
• Assists with transport of patients requiring life-support.
• Performs daily rounds with ICU team and documents care.
