Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients and secures IVs, tubes, and patient as needed.
• Uses wheelchairs or other rolling stock to move patients.
• Demonstrates competency transporting patients of all ages.
• Ensures safe, timely transport with proper equipment.
• Communicates effectively with nursing staff and dispatch.
• Alerts staff to patient distress or equipment malfunction.
• Maintains and reports equipment needing repairs.
• Follows HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
