Responsibilities

• Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographics and insurance information.
• Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Coordinate with Admitting, PBX and reception areas.
• Input and retrieve data using a computer.
• Communicate with patients across age groups using age-appropriate techniques.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
• Complete special projects within defined timeframes.
