Job summary

The Lutheran Home in Missouri is seeking a Nursing Shift Supervisor for evening and overnight hours. You will oversee nursing operations, provide clinical guidance to staff, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care aligned with our core values.

Ideal candidates hold a current Missouri RN or LPN license with at least two years of nursing experience; LTC supervisory experience and CPR certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Missouri.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Long-term care and/or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper staffing for each unit, adjusting for call-ins.
• Review complaints filed by staff or residents.
• Assist with medication passes and treatments when needed.
• Function as a clinical resource for all nursing areas.
• Monitor and help defuse emotional situations involving residents, families, visitors, or staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Model customer service and urgency for resident and staff safety.
• Monitor processes and outcomes to ensure safe, compassionate care.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and problem-solving support during assigned hours.
