Job summary

Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks a part-time Mental Health Technician to support inpatient and partial hospitalization services. The schedule runs every Tuesday and Wednesday 7pm–7am, with one weekend per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health or human services, or 3 years of behavioral health experience.
• Ability to provide professional references prior to offer.
• Fluent English with clear written and verbal communication.
• Mobility and physical ability to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• MHT/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
• Patient Safety: Monitors patients at all times, conducts unit safety checks and inventory to prevent contraband.
• Patient Care: Takes vital signs, assists with daily living activities, and supports admission/discharge processes.
• Infection Prevention: Follows infection control policies, hand hygiene, and high-touch surface cleaning.
• Patient/Staff Education: Supports learning needs of patients and families and promotes educational growth.
• Collaboration/Professional Development: Works with care team to deliver integrated patient care.
