Job summary

UPMC Wellsboro is seeking a Professional Staff Nurse for the Med Surg department on an evening/night shift (7p–7a). This role requires every-other-weekend work and rotating holidays, with opportunities for career advancement and comprehensive nursing support.

You will provide high-quality patient care, apply the nursing process, mentor staff when possible, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while embracing devoted teamwork and patient-centered care within our community hospital.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state where the facility is located.
• BSN preferred; current nurses with equivalent experience considered.
• Ability to work evening/night shifts and weekends.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops productive relationships and ensures safety and quality care.
• Provides teaching to patients and families; may serve as preceptor.
• Applies nursing process within Relationship Based Care; creates plan of care with patient partnership.
