Job summary

Whitehall Borough Post Acute is seeking an LPN for part-time 2nd or 3rd shift in Pittsburgh. Candidates must hold a PA nursing license, maintain CE requirements, and have CPR certification. The role involves direct patient care, supervising CNAs, and ensuring care plans are followed.

Shifts are 2pm-10pm (2nd) or 10pm-6am (3rd). We value compassionate, patient-centered care and require ability to lift up to 25 pounds and pass a background check. Experience with Point Click Care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a nurse in PA
• Must maintain continuing education requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Clear background check (last 7 years)
• Active CPR certification (BLS preferred)
• Must meet health requirements including a physical exam and 2-step PPD
• Able to sit/stand/walk/talk; lift 25 pounds to 5 feet; move 50 feet

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents under supervision of DON/ADON
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
• Greet and orient new residents/family; coordinate with physicians
• Receive/give nursing reports at shift changes
• Chart and document nursing care plans and progress
• Ensure care plans are followed and CNAs refer to them
• Maintain accurate nursing records and incident reports
• Assist with medication administration and orders as required
• Maintain quality assurance and participate in surveys
