Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking an assembler to join the LVE Assembly team. You will assemble medium voltage switchgear, both standard and custom units, in a production environment. The role requires following schematics, working with hand tools, and adapting to additional stations as needed.

The position emphasizes eye-hand coordination, meeting time constraints, and contributing to a safe, efficient workflow with mentoring responsibilities and use of ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly.
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• Able to perform precise tasks with small objects and hand tools.
• Ability to understand blueprints, BOLs, and electrical schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate part quantity estimation.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate-level wiring and mechanical assembly per schematics.
• Mount components, route cables, and ensure proper fit and function.
• Inspect components and assemblies for correct selection and wiring.
• Read blueprints/schematics and Bills of Materials.
• Maintain records of tasks and deviations; report safety hazards.
