Job summary

Geisinger in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in MRI to perform imaging procedures at a technical level. The role includes patient preparation, safety, and adherence to radiologist protocols across neuro, body, and extremity exams.

ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certifications are required with ongoing advancement steps for some hires. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; ARRT-MR or NMTCB/ARMRIT may be pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program - Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certification options; ARRT-R/ARTR-MR/NMTCB/ARMRIT advancement within 24 months for some hires.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures (neuro, body, extremity) following radiologist protocols.
• Position patients and explain exams; minimize patient discomfort and questions.
• Enter data into imaging systems and manage image processing.
• Conduct equipment quality control and report malfunctions.
• Provide radiology liaison support and assist physicians as needed.
