Job summary

UVA Imaging in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a full-time MRI Imaging Assistant (MRTA) to join a patient-focused team. We value healthcare experience and a willingness to learn and grow within our imaging services.

The MRTA will assist with patient preparation, support MRI safety, and help maintain efficient patient flow while technologists perform imaging remotely. Evening shifts and some weekends are required.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare experience required.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced healthcare certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and assist with pre-procedure forms.
• Review and document the patient’s history relative to the physician’s order.
• Explain procedures and provide attentive patient care.
• Assist with patient preparation and support workflow during imaging.
• Follow MRI safety standards to maintain a safe environment.
