Job summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II at Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, performs waived and non-waived tests under CLIA, following SOPs and reading results for diagnosis. They may supervise daily laboratory operations as needed.

Under supervision, duties include QC review, staff training, competency assessment, and inventory management to ensure accurate results and records for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Sciences.
• ASCP certification and required lab experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing following CLIA and SOPs with accurate result reporting.
• Supervise assigned workstations, QC review, and training.
• Maintain records and manage inventory for tests and materials.
