RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Mental Health Associate for the Eating Disorder Unit in Somerville, NJ. This full-time role operates on an evening shift and includes a 40-hour work week.

The position requires a Baccalaureate degree or at least 5 years of behavioral health experience, plus excellent communication and interpersonal skills. BLS certification is required, and duties include phlebotomy, patient transport, and charting within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Required: Baccalaureate degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years behavioral health experience.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to ancillary departments and emergency room.
• Completes personal hygiene for assigned patients.
• Reports patient complaints and any untoward signs immediately to the RN.
• Responds to emergency situations and maintains safety on unit.
• Assists with ambulation, positioning, and nutritional needs.
