Huron Valley Pace in Chelsea, MI is seeking a part-time Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to provide essential daily care, offer companionship, and create a welcoming environment for residents. If you enjoy helping others and building relationships, this is the perfect opportunity!

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ideally some experience in caregiving. Compensation ranges from $18.57 to $22.28 hourly. Benefits include career growth assistance, wellness reimbursement, and generous time-off policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a direct caregiving role preferred but not required.
• Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (ADLs) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated.
• Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked.
• Respond to call lights quickly and with compassion.
• Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
• Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.

Skills

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in a direct caregiving role preferred

Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 lbs

Previous knowledge of EMAR system preferred
