Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Direct Care Staff certification required.
• Minimum of 6 hours of dementia education annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility).
• Support eating and drinking, including meal selection and cueing.
• Provide snacks and hydration throughout the day.
• Use redirection and de-escalation for residents with cognitive impairments.
• Record and report eating habits and vital signs to supervisor or nurse.
