Job summary

Good Samaritan in Algona, IA is seeking a compassionate nursing assistant to provide medication administration, daily living support and resident care in a not-for-profit, Christian environment.

Evening shifts 1:30pm to 9:30pm, part-time 20 hours per week, with a small, dedicated team that values dignity, safety and quality service.

Duties include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, transfers, vital signs, and maintaining clean rooms while following location procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED may be required based on working state.
• Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides care and services including medication administration and ADL assistance in a caring, safe manner.
• Assists residents with self-administration of medications and basic health monitoring.
• Maintains cleanliness of residents and their rooms and supports daily living activities.
