Good Samaritan in Algona, IA is seeking a Resident Assistant, Medication Aide for part-time evening shifts (Wednesday 1:30pm–9:30pm, plus alternating Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays). The role includes medication administration, daily living support and health monitoring in a small assisted living setting.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and must complete state-mandated medication administration training. Excellent teamwork and compassion are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; state requirements may vary.
• Must complete medication administration training and competencies per state guidelines.
• Must meet minimum state age requirement if a lift is used for resident transfer.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and assist residents with daily living activities.
• Obtain vital signs and report health status changes.
• Provide nursing care in a safe, caring environment.
• Assist with meals, laundry, and general housekeeping as needed.
• Follow OSHA/CDC guidelines and SDS for chemical use.
