Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Unit Secretary for the Medical Stroke Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital. This part-time role (Evening Shift, 3pm-11:30pm) involves supporting non-clinical unit operations, handling patient charges, and coordinating patient flow with admissions and discharges.

Responsibilities include ordering supplies, providing exceptional customer service to patients and staff, and handling phone communications while monitoring for service recovery opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience or 1 year of college plus 1 year of work experience.
• Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate non-clinical duties of the nursing unit.
• Enter patient charges in computer.
• Coordinate patient flow of admissions and discharges.
• Order supplies.
• Provide customer service to patients, families, nurses, physicians and other support departments.
• Answer phones and relay messages as appropriate.
• Proactively identifies need for service recovery and follow up of resolution.
