Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biological science required.
• Medical Technologist/Technician Students highly desirable.
• CLS/MT Trainee may qualify after one year of pertinent full-time lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tests under the direction of laboratory personnel in accordance with the laboratory's procedure manual; ensures QC requirements are met.
• Handles biological samples and potentially hazardous chemicals.
• Ensures test systems are in control for each test performed.
• Ensures that each test is performed according to laboratory protocol.
• Reports issues to supervision and cooperates with investigations as needed.
• Maintains laboratory areas and equipment in a safe, functional, and sanitary condition.
• Adheres to established laboratory safety requirements, including PPE.
