Job summary

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with an evening shift and on-site work. A $5,000 sign-on bonus (taxable) is available and the department emphasizes quality control and ongoing staff education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science is required (or equivalent).
• ASCP Technologist certification or eligibility required, grandfathering rules may apply.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests using diverse techniques, instrumentation, and equipment to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Prioritizes and evaluates multiple test requests efficiently.
• Collects and processes biological specimens per procedures.
• Conducts analytic testing with accuracy and precision.
• Interprets results in context of disease and physiology.
• Implements and monitors quality control and new methods/equipment.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and participates in department education.
• Provides care for patients across ages and safety considerations.
