Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Med Tech or Clinical Laboratory Science with supervised internship.
• Certification by ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret moderate and high complexity tests per CLIA ’88.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity tests after training.
• Interpret tests and serve as resource for laboratory users.
• Review testing procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prioritize STAT and routine samples and ensure correct specimen labeling.
• Document testing steps and results in LIS and maintain accurate records.
• Notify supervisory staff of instrument issues and safety concerns.
• Maintain proficiency in LIS functions and QC procedures.
• Support education of students and staff as needed.
