Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the MacNeal Hospital location in Berwyn, IL. The role is part-time with an evening shift from 2:30pm to 10:30pm in the Core Lab area, supporting waived to high complexity testing for patient care.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science, and ASCP or equivalent certification is preferred. Benefits from Day One and competitive shift differentials are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Specific Degrees: Medical Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science.
• Licensure/Certification: ASCP or HEW (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs all laboratory testing in accordance with SOPs and accreditation guidelines to support patient care.
• Conducts and documents quality control procedures on tests, equipment, reagents, and media to ensure accuracy of results.
