Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of lab experience using standard procedures.
• Associate degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Teamwork is required to meet deadlines and deliver quality care.

Responsibilities

• Enter, retrieve, and document laboratory data accurately and register orders.
• Accept, prepare, and process specimens and ensure proper labeling and tracking.
• Prepare specimens for transport and handle transportation to Rush laboratory locations as needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and document preventative maintenance.
• Communicate results with appropriate personnel and ensure read-back when required.
• Disinfect work areas and follow all Rush Policies and Procedures.
