Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) invites applications for a Medical Assistant at the Revere Care Center. This per diem position covers evening shifts and supports patient flow, triage, rooming, and documentation in the EHR as part of a dynamic primary care team.

The role requires a high school diploma or MA program completion with BLS certification; English proficiency is required and bilingualism is a plus. CHA emphasizes equity, patient-centered care, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or 1 year of MA experience in lieu of program.
• Maintains current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• English proficiency required; second language fluency preferred.
• Experience: MA experience in a clinical setting preferred; administrative duties experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively and efficiently manage patient flow in the clinic.
• Greet patients and answer phones with accurate messages.
• Schedule patient appointments electronically (Epic) and perform insurance verifications.
• Room patients, assist providers with histories, document in EHR.
• Record routine vital signs and assist with clinical procedures.
• Book screening tests and outreach appointments; support population health efforts.
• Other duties as required.
