Neighborhood Healthcare in Escondido, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for a temporary part-time role (16 hours/week) to support diverse providers and nurses in delivering patient-centered care.

The MA will take vital signs, perform procedures (blood draws, vaccines, EKGs), educate patients, manage exam rooms, and document in the electronic health record. A valid MA certificate and BLS are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus.

Competenze

• Valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer/data entry skills.

Mansioni

• Communicates and performs clinical care services with patients.
• Takes patient vital signs and obtains intake information.
• Performs blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, and EKGs.
• Discusses patient needs and provides education and resources to patients.
• Ensures exam rooms are stocked, cleaned, and set up for examinations and procedures.
• Coordinates provider workflows to ensure efficient patient care.
• Assists providers and care teams in women’s health, pediatrics and general medicine as needed.
• Uses electronic health records to document treatment plans and communicate with patients.
