Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff in delivering patient-centered care. This role communicates with patients, performs essential clinical tasks, and helps maintain efficient exam flow in a fast-paced clinic.

The position requires a valid MA certificate and BLS certification on hire, with preferred bilingual English/Spanish skills and proficiency with electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited program required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and performs clinical care services with patients
• Takes patient vital signs and obtains patient intake information
• Performs clinical procedures such as blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, and EKGs
• Coordinates provider workflows to ensure efficient patient care
