Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and maintained as a condition of employment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred to support diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and performs clinical care services with patients
• Takes patient vital signs and obtains intake information
• Performs clinical procedures such as blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, and EKGs
• Provides education and resources to patients directly
• Maintains exam rooms stocked, cleaned, and prepared for examinations
• Coordinates provider workflows to ensure efficient patient care
• Assists other providers in women's health, pediatrics and general medicine as needed
• Uses electronic health records to document treatment plans and communicate with patients
• Completes ongoing training to stay compliant with policies
