Job summary

The Cook Family Health Center in Bloomington, IN is hiring a Medical Assistant / LPN (Finance) to support providers and patients with a range of care management and administrative tasks. This on-site role requires evening shifts and rotating Saturdays, with duties spanning patient intake, exam setup, phlebotomy, injections, and EHR data entry.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a medical office, CMA or LPN preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• 1-2 years required technician experience in medical office environment; primary care preferred.
• Current CMA or LPN preferred.
• Microsoft Office suite experience.
• Previous multi-line phone & customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Must be available evenings until 6pm and rotating Saturdays until 12:30p.
• Patient Intake & Assisting Provider.
• Setting up equipment and assisting during exams and procedures.
• Collecting lab specimens.
• Phlebotomy.
• Patient Education & Communication.
• Administer medication/Injections.
• Schedule outside appointments.
• Order stock.
• Manage disposal of biohazards.
• Electrocardiogram.
• Sterile technique.
• Clean and stock exam rooms/lab.
• Electronic Health Records data entry.
