Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution; must obtain national certification.
• Individuals without formal education must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the medical field and a national certification.
• Interest in teaching or prior teaching or tutoring experience using a developed curriculum preferred.
• Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
• Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
• Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
• This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.
