PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Medical Department at the Cambria County Jail in Ebensburg, PA. The role includes clerical tasks, medical records requests, and Continuity of Care (COC) releases, with duties spanning from exam area maintenance to billing support.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Some clerical experience and ability to type required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multitasking.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining examination and treatment areas
• Verification of medications and medical information
• Maintain medication records
• Answer telephone and processing calls
• Maintain filing system and confidentiality of information at all times
• Provide full administrative and clerical support to the medical department at the facility to include typing of various reports, letters and memorandum
• Data Entry
• Scanning documents into the computer
• Assisting with the credentialing process of new hires
• Maintain staff log
• Schedule transports
• Assist with billing
