Job summary

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete the Department of Human Services direct care staff training and examination during the first 14 days of the introductory period.
• Knowledge of current Department of Public Welfare regulations for personal care homes.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments in the appropriate area and time.
• Performs routine administrative tasks such as completing lab slips and scheduling appointments.
• Monitors all lab work assuring compliance with physician’s orders.
• Evaluates resident’s physical and emotional status and notifies physician of any changes.
• Administers professional services such as Foley care and O₂ therapy.
