Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical department on the evenings shift. You will provide patient-centered nursing care, assess needs, and collaborate with a team to deliver safe, effective outcomes.

The role requires CT RN licensure, CPR certification, and NVCIT training within 3 months of hire. We offer a supportive, growth-oriented environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs according to age and developmental level.
• Utilize effective oral and written communication, ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
• Demonstrate safe, accurate technical skills and knowledge of patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate and adjust the plan of care to meet patient goals.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each patient.
