Job summary

UnityPoint Health is hiring a Maternal Child Float Tier 1A RN to provide compassionate, family-centered care across Maternal Child units. This role supports multiple areas, caring for mothers, newborns, and pediatric patients while collaborating with families and the care team.

The position features a $10,000 sign-on bonus, night shift hours, and a full-time schedule with rotation every third weekend and holiday. A BSN is preferred and licensure in Iowa/Illinois is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an RN program.
• BSN degree preferred.
• One year of hospital clinical experience preferred.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa and Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of patients and families and provides education, referrals, and resources.
• Develops and implements individualized plans of care with the patient, family, and team.
• Delivers high-quality patient care using the nursing process for the assigned specialty.
• Uses critical thinking and independent judgment while maintaining responsibility for assigned patients.
• Provides holistic, age-appropriate care considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, and safety needs.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions.
• Promotes safety by following policies and reporting errors or safety concerns.
